"Gem"

Gem came to us when she was about 3 1/2 years old and was a very welcome addition to our "family". In limited showing, she has specialty placements to her credit. We have fallen in love with Gem's very outgoing personality and silly mannerisms.

Be sure to check out Gem and Rocky's daughter, Whimsy, who is also a member of the Harborview Crew.

Gem was retired from our breeding program in 2002. She then went to live with the most wonderful couple, Jeff and Sandy Bricker who own two personal care homes so Gem went to work with them everyday. Gem also took up agility in her retirement years and Sandy tells me that Gem always gave it everything she had and did so with the great zest that she had for everything else in life.

Unfortunately, Gem passed away on February 23rd, 2008 from liver cancer. Sandy says that Gem lived well until the end and we are very thankful for that. Rest well, sweet Gemmy-you touched many lives and every one that you touched was better for you being a part of it.
